5-HT2C Serotonin Receptor Cell Line

Description 5-HT2C Serotonin Receptor Cell Line contains U2OS cells stably expressing 5-HT2C Receptor with no tag. HiTSeeker Cell lines proliferate in vitro maintaining GPCR expression following the cell culture manual. The 5-HT2C Serotonin Receptor Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate 5-HT2C receptor. When a ligand binds to the 5-HT2C receptor, it activates a G protein, which in turn, triggers a cellular response mediated by calcium. This cell line has been validated measuring calcium concentration changes in the cytosol upon activation with 5-HT. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring 5-HT2C Receptor activation process in High Throughput Screening.
